A striking survivor of the Piedmontese tradition, this 19th-century six-arm chandelier hails from northern Italy's Piedmont region — a corner of Europe long celebrated for its carved and gilded furnishings. Hand-carved in wood and finished in warm giltwood with soft polychrome accents, the piece carries the muted palette and gentle wear that only time can lend: patina, faded gilding, and the quiet authority of an object that has lived a full life.

Sculptural yet restrained, its six scrolled acanthus-leaf arms sweep outward from a turned central column crowned by a carved finial, with a gilded shell rosette anchoring the base. The gilded surface shows minor wear consistent with age, preserving the honest character collectors prize. Electrified with its original wiring and in working condition; we recommend inspection and rewiring by a licensed electrician prior to installation.

A rare focal point for a dining room, entry, or intimate salon — equally at home above a farmhouse table or beneath a frescoed ceiling.
